RE: Long Distance Towing for RV and Truck
BW, Do a search for R V transporters. there's several companys that transport both towables and driveables. They will be able to help you. I have no idea about the cost. I hope your health returns so you can enjoy traveling again. Bill
RE: New Towing laws start Jan. 1
RE: Traffic school. I think that has been the law for at least 7 years, I have a cdl, and I think the drivers were notified about that long ago. A CHP (now retired)told me to " Just be one of the better bad ones" and stay under 60 ,keep to the right all that you can,and you'll be ok. It's when you are involved in an accident, that the endorsement will pay off.
On Edit: Not being able to go to traffic school for CDL drivers, it's tied to the Federal Motor Safety Act,1999, and Congress set a Sept. 30,2005 deadline for all states to enact laws in compliance with the act or lose federal highway funds.
RE: Get more gas in a gallon
Yellowstone, I agree, but 3 cents x 1 isn't much, but 3 cents x say 8'000 gallons(about a truck load) is ...well... a little more than should be charged. Multiply that by a dozen loads a month, pretty good profit from the sun.
RE: Get more gas in a gallon
At Ca. hiway 99 and ca 229/Bear Mtn. Rd.at 7:30pm on May 27th,2007, the diesel that I pumped was at 87 degrees. I used an infrared thermometer. The concrete pad at the pump was 96 degrees. Lots less btu's /gallon . I think there's a drive on in the Peoples Republic of California to make the stations to use temp. comphensating meters.I agree with the original poster.Fuel early in the morning.
